Portuguese Pass / Frog Meadow / Tobias Peak Ride.
Start Alta Sierra (above Lake Isabella) ride to Portuguese Pass and optionally Frog Meadow or Tobias Peak.
This route accomodates riders of varying skills and abilities. Starting at Alta Sierra we pedal our way north and up to Portuguese Pass (8 miles one way, middle ring stuff, wide dirt road). There are a few parallel single track side trips for optional further adventure. Also available, a trip extension to Frog Meadow or Tobias Peak (7 more miles one way). Downhill most of the way back. This is an up & back ride so early turnarounds are available. This ride starts at the Greenhorn Summit near Alta Sierra.
