The SSFTA has partnered with the Stewards of the Sequoia in matters of Land Access. Chris Horgan and his supporters are doing a wonderful job of representing our interests. Chris does a masterful job maintaining communications with the Forest Service, BLM and other interested groups. Letter after letter, meeting after meeting, phone call after phone calls, Chris keeps focused and marching forward with great results. We are glad to have Chris as a member of the SSFTA.

The SSFTA maintains and has adopted many trails in the local mountains. Leon Graves has been in charge of our trail maintenance efforts for many many years. During the fall, winter and spring times we hold "Trail Days" wherein we work on our trail systems, cutting trail, fixing trail and brushing trails. It's always a grand time of "returning the favor" to our hobby, our sport, our passion.

We also have a great Trail Machine. It's a unique tractor type of thing with crawler tracks and a blade and a back hoe. It's a wild ridin' machine but it can move a lot of dirt.
