i rode at hart park again on sunday.  im still new/learning the area and am trying to locate the more common trails that are referenced on this forum and/or on the web (youtube and other resources) but im having difficulty.

basically, im just looking for a trail map so that i can ride the more common trails that are referenced.

trails like "satans taint" greatly interest me but i cant find it.  ive even tried to just identify the hills that ive seen referenced...like "pistol range hill" (for instance, is the hill at the gun range south of hart park?), "bastard hill" and "hang glider hill" but havent had much success locating those either.

does ANYONE out there have the more popular trails mapped out or documented in some way, shape or form?  my work schedule isnt going to allow me to join many group rides; this is a shame because i know this would be the best way to learn the local trail areas.  ive been hoping to see someone out there and quiz them but so far i havent seen a soul (afterall, it is hot as he!l out there!)...

Join the Monday ride at 6:00 PM that starts at thorner school.  There are usually two groups that go out.  One fast to moderate and one that's geared more to the beginner.  That's how I learned ALL the trails.  Most of the names are pretty lame, but refer to something obvious about the trail.  Like "Dodge" .  Dodge has an stripped down Dodge truck on it.  Easy enough.

The SSFTA does not have any maps of the trails in the local foothills, nor do any exist to my knowledge, due to land ownership issues.  I see you have Sundays off from work.  You may consider joining the Sunday morning group.  Even though it is listed as a beginner ride, there are often more experienced riders that break off into another group.  This is the best way to learn the trails.  Also watch for our out-of-town weekend rides and we'll show you some great riding just outside of town.

Happy riding and welcome to Bako :)
