Visibility was poor due to riding toward the setting sun. Fernando hit a good sized rock, crashed, burned and his front chain ring bit 3 perfectly measured chunks out of his right calf. He was a trooper and wanted to ride back to the school from near Calm! He was bleeding pretty good so we convinced him to ride to the fire station at the Lake Ming entrance and they cleaned him up before his wife showed up. Wish we could have seen her reaction after he only told her he had a mechanical issue when he called her. LOL...
He's a tough one. He'll be back in no time.
