Ok I was riding toads and fell about 3 turns from the end and became a pinball, hit the wall on the left and then over and down on some rocks, thank God for my helmet it cracked all the way through by my temple of my right eye I don't even want to think what would have happened if I was not wearing it. I came out ok I only have fractured elbows yes both of them are fractured its bummer.... can't open anything, can't drive, can't pick up anything, but after a vicodin I can type.. They say my elbow will heal fast. I think I need my training wheels back on my bike!! As soon as I can I will be back on my bike Mike said road for a while and then trails easy trails.. Bob and Mike are going to teach riding skills so watch out anyone want to help teach me some riding skills I think I need them.

We rode Toad's last night. I could not have possibly every have crashed that hard. Well, at least not last night. There was a little friend that kept me from gaining speed at any point. While Dave blew right bye the ittle feller, I came up fast and locked up just before I amost ran him over. SKUNK!!!!! He was a baby (maybe 6 months or so) and was acutually a cute little guy. We meandered slowly down Toad's as I followed, he made sure I didn't get too close and would speed up as I got closer, but he never got that tail up. Then I saw Dave's light facing back towards me and the skunk reversed on me! Ahhhhhh. Stil, no spray and once Dave turned around the Pepe LePew took an about face and wondered back down. I followed him to the end of Toad's where we went our separate ways. All and all I don't think the skunk ever fet too threatened, so he never got to the point of spraying. He didn't even hiss or screech or whatever they do first.

Hi, thanks for asking. Im doing good, I can now take a shower and wash my hair on my own, I can hold my coffee cup with one hand now thats a great feeling. I go back to the doctors on the 29th if she is not in labor, if she is I will have to see another doctor another day.. My wrist were x-rayed 2 weeks ago to see if they where cracked also, but the pain I was having in them was because of the tendens that where pulled at the radial head of the elbows. I had never thought about how your elbow control your arms wrist and fingers, I just took for granted that everything worked. I think in Aug I will be able to ride a little on the road and then work up to the dirt, then back down toads but this time with elbow pads on.

when I went back to toads the other day Bob and I think what happened is that the handle bars hit the wall, and riped them out of my hands that caused me to go over the handle bars and put my arms down to catch mayself and thats what cracking my elbow, hitting my head on a rock and cracking my helmet clean through. That is what we are thinking happen. Toads Wild Ride !!!!! humm lets do this again Still not back to work but hope to be soon, I have also had to take time off from school so I need to get back doing things soon this is driving me crazy.... Always ride with your helmet cliped and fitted right it will SAVE YOUR LIFE..

Hi everyone,

Well today was my first day back to work, everything went well. My elbows are a little sore. I'm not sure how many people came up to me asking what I did, and then said I should sell my bike, NOT going to happen. people were telling me I should just sit and knit, and be happy with that, Not going to happen. I would like to thank everyone for all the help you have given us.

I have been trying to ride a little, I did ride the dirt with Geoff on the night of Grants memorial ride, my arms where just like jello when done I don't even think I did 3 miles, so I am going to take it slow and ride the road for a bit.. My favorite ride is from my house to Peets coffee, great coffee, nice outside seating and a nice ride. See you all in the dirt soon!

I have also started back to school, so life is back to being crazy. I have a new class every 5 weeks so when its week 4 I will need to ride a lot to get rid of stress LOL. Again Thank You Everyone for all your help..

Lisa

Glad to see you back to work and recovering. I plan on doing as many Saturday morning rides as soccer will allow if you want to team up for a slower paced dirt ride. Let me know. Happy for ya! At least a crazy/busy life is a lived life.

Geoff
